Ok so im a 15 year old kid thats just over 6ft and I weigh about 160 and im still riding my js440 and its obviously time for a new ski. Ive been riding for i think its been 5 years now and have been around these things my whole life.
The problem is that my family has like NO money anymore and these thing can get expensive and i need something that will last and kick azz.

So my first choice in ski is the kawasaki 750 which is kinda borderline budget for me unless its under 1k, thing is that i hate the turning on these things but love the power

My second choice is to take a 550 hull (from my uncle who has 5 just sittin there) and try and convert it into an awesome free ridin ski. I would try and do body work and end up finding a 750 motor and dropping it in

My third and final choice is to attempt to find a striped superjet or fx1 hull and build it up over time

So pretty much any input would be extremely helpful thanks

since money is the main concern , how about a cheap sn with a 701 with some good mods, it would a lot cheaper than building one , parts cost a lot and shipping costs are high,fx1 is great but are more pricey and hard to come by i paid 1400 for a sn with a b pipe and lots of mods the ski is great and reliable and a lot of fun good luck, forget about the 750 conversion

Keep your eyes open

You can find great deals on a sn on here or craigslist. My buddy picked up a sn with an ADA head and FP Pipe for $1000. He rode it hard all season last year and was very reliable. Then over time do some more mods and upgrades but it is the best platform for findin parts cheap and readily available.

You can put a lot of time and money into a 550 or 750 and then it may be almost as good as a stock superjet.

You can get a good condition SN650 for $1000. I'd rather have a reliable, good condition superjet with a 650, and maybe some handling mods, than a fast, unreliable, crappy handling ski.

It takes a while before your skill level requires that you have a lot of power. I'd say just get a 650 SN in good shape, add mods as you can afford them, and have fun riding.

You should be able to find a 650 Superjet for that money. Otherwise ride your 440 for another year and get a good summer job so you can save money for a 701. Option 2 would be my suggestion.

Ok well now ive narrowed it down to two choices
1) Is to find a square nose super jet and mod it over time
2) Is to try and find a cheap fx1 and hope I made a good decision

Only problem is... (sorry if I offend anyone) I hate the look on the nose of both the skis. The high mounting bracket on the fx1 and I hate the swquare nose on the superjet

Looks cost money. I like the looks of a Ferrari better than the Pinto. I can't afford it so I'll settle for the pinto to get to work.
