Also floridas wages have not changed in probably 10 years. I'm getting offered 13 and 14 an hour to do extremely skilled niche labor. My new job hired me on just under 40 an hour. I'm also charging people ridiculous money to detail their small planes and cars/trucks and they are thrilled to pay it. I can make a grand in 2 days without breaking a serious sweat.Why did you move?! Florida too free for you?! Or you wanted to ride bigger and better and colder surf?
we got over a million people that moved to florida last year. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is going there. I can't afford to buy a house and nothing is for sale anyway. Crappy job market. Crappy housing market. Tired of sweating my balls off every single day of my life. No future prospects. Lots of my friends are dead and I don't have anyone that wants me around anyway. These idiots in the PNW piss away any money they have and I have zero problem taking a golden shower. My job works me three 12s and pays me a shift diff for 40 hours. I have 4 days off to detail and screw around.

I don't blame you. I could never live in Florida. As you stated way too damn hot, super over crowded, far too many old people, and no one in the state knows how to drive. I used to visit for a week every couple years when the kids were little and my folks lived down there, but I'm typically fed up and ready to head home by the 4th day max.
People here are pure robots but at least my checks are respectable. I plan on getting a nice camper to pull with my 5th wheel to hit the mountains during the week and probably dump rounds in the woods. This place sucks but it is what it is. Grass ain't green anywhere anymore.

Ditto for here in Canada. Add in a brutal government with harsh covid measures, overreaching control, and a housing market that doubles in 16 months. Glad the wife and I have a decent house but the idea of upgrading is impossible. Only thing left to do is buy what land you can afford and build new.
lol you sound like a really miserable guy just from the posts you have on here. I have a friend who is a similar online personality, and in real life he can be too much to hang around. Great guy, just needs to not be so vocal about his perceived misery.

1. If you are not financing they probably would rather you not buy to be honest. Nobody likes cash as financing makes the money.
2. Customer service does suck a lot more, you are right.
3. You probably are getting old and cranky. I’ve noticed kids running across my lawn in rollerblades is starting to trigger something and I’m not even a lawn guy lol.
4. Perspective. When things are pissing me off, I remind myself I pretty much only have first world problems. Get yourself a really chill girlfriend too. That’s been a blessing for me.

To answer your question (in a nutshell), liberals took over every facet of government, education system, military and every three letter government agency. This is why the US is already a failed state. We’re just watching it’s slow death in real time.
Nah the USA is still the greatest country in the world, don't kid yourself. But I get it....I say the same thing about Ontario/Canada, and I cant wait to become an American citizen.
Trump will be back in 2024, or at the very least I think republicans will take the next election.

Anyone who believes that voting has any impact on the way things go is delusional. Politicians and elites do whatever they want, openly at this point, and face zero repercussions for their actions. They own the people/agencies that enforce the laws they actively ignore. That and Easy times create weak men etc..
I believe, unfortunately, that the internet contributes largely to the decline of society as a whole. Instead of getting bullied and learning how to fit in you can now find a million other people with the same stupid ideas as you on the internet and get some sort of validity. I spent so much of my life angry and upset over the way things are changing, much like everyone else, and finally got to the point where I gave up. Why spend your time angry and worried about it. Nothing you can do at all in this moment will change the way things are playing out. The internet is also very good for making things look and seem a lot worse than they are.
Some day it’s all going to come crashing down, be it in your life or your grandchildren’s. Spend time with your family, ride skis, buy a plate carrier and ceramics before it’s illegal

Politicians are wholly owned subsidiaries of large corporations, and a few wealthy individuals. Ive watched congress pass a law that makes it harder to get an airline pilot job. Then pass a law that completely gut maintenance training requirements. All at a time when airplanes are less complicated to fly and more complicated to fix.
