So i was looking at the case porting on my new motor and i noticed one sleeve looks to be hanging lower in the case than the other pics 1,2. Then i started looking in the case and on the back side of the case i was looking at the sleeve's pics 3,4 can anyone shed any light on why this would be? or how much this thing is going to run like crap?

They're just stock sleeves that have been cut shorter on the intake side.

This engine will have pretty good mid range and top end if there's any compression.

So just drop the thing in and stop asking questions about it.

I think in pictures 1 and 4 you're seeing the lower edge of the piston. NOT the sleeve. If you disregard the edge of the piston, the sleeves look the same.

I think in pictures 1 and 4 you're seeing the lower edge of the piston. NOT the sleeve. If you disregard the edge of the piston, the sleeves look the same.

They look the same to me too.

It wouldn't really matter if it was ported after sleeving anyway, because the ports shaped as desired and the top is decked to give a perfectly flat surface.
