What throttle cable??

So I just ordered an FRI levers and I ordered for a Yamaha as I have a 760 in my Phantom with 44’s

Didn’t pay attention but I have a thicker throttle cable that fits a Kawasaki size throttle . What cable is this? Maniac ?

That doesn't look like a Kawi sized throttle lever, that looks like a Yami sized cable only lever.

Yes I bought a Yami throttle not knowing I had the thick style cable.

I think it's more cost effective to acquire a 10 mm throttle lever for your cable then to purchase a oem Yam cable for $112 street/162 retail.

He has that new bling billet throttle lever so an a/m yami size cable for $55. would be the easy solution.

What about taping and threading for the larger size? I work at a motorcycle shop that has all tools and mechanics to perform ?

You will be messing up the anodizing in that area and hurting longevity on the finish then.

Sell the throttle to someone else. Sure you have the bling but the 10mm cable is much less likely to break. Can you not return the lever if it is new?

drill and tap away! put a little antiseize on the treads and move on with your life.

drilling and tapping will possibly cause the lever to break
i say buy a new lever and sell the smaller one
or buy a new cable
