What is the essential list of things I should take/do to prevent corrosion etc?

I have a flush kit, figure I should use it at the end of each day?
I've read that people hose down the engine bay with WD40 or silicone spray, but I wasn't sure if its important or helpful.

What else?

I find that a liberal application of fluid film (or any silicon spray) in the bilge beforehand keeps the salt water off pretty well. Rinse with a hose at the end of the day and re-apply the spray.

Salt water can be a big problem if you ignore it, being prepared makes it not such a big deal. Is this your first trip to the surf ???

Yeah, first time ever.
Typically ride Lake Grapevine, Lewisville, and Lake Arlington for quick afterwork rides.

I'll have a stainless loop/ring in the front and i'll have a Bow Eye in the rear of the tray.

Do I need any fogging oil?
