What to clear my ac pole with???

I have a polished aluminum ac pole on my 750. What do I clear coat it with, polyurathane, or the clearcoat I used for the ski itself. Or are there any other options?? Thanks

xilion is supposedly pretty good...Ive seen demo's on it and it looked like it works, but I have also seen some bad reviews on other forums

I just use a local auto chain's clearcoat. Not sure for bare aluminum though.

I'd guess a urethene clear would work well.

the "chineman" that does all of broward motorsports' polishing for their custom line of custom bikes recommends not clearing over polished aluminum, but to keep polishing it.

its alotta work, but clear never really looks good on polished aluminum.

what would happen if you polished the pole and than had it anodized clear?

i think youd lose some of the shine.
