Other what to do with 6m6 cases

whats a guy suposed to do with the cases, cylinders, and head off of a 6m6 motor? i see them posted for sale for 20 dollars complete without pistons or crank or carb. thats hardely the gas to the nearest ups store. lol. my sleeves have some scoreing also. so are the motors just scrap metal? will scrap metal places give anything? and what material are these motors :S

recycling center will buy them as "breakage" if you remove all non-aluminum metals from them.

even then - you'll likely only get 6 cents per pound or something ridiculous like that.

you can use the bottom half if you ever punch a hole in you 701 cases. Seen it done many times.

You can also find a 61x cylinder, and some used pistons on ebay, hone it, lightly port the case, and open it up, and have a hybrid 701 for about 120 bucks invested.

1. What do i use and where on the cases do i need to remove?
2 i have a set of 61x cylinder...is there a way to home hone these? If so what tools do i need?

wine bottle chiller. fill the cases with ice. put your bottles in the cylinders.

i actually have a complete 6m6 motor minus carbs and electrics and can't find anyone who wants the damn thing.

I know im just looking to use it to sell out my 95 raider that came with a low compression wet jet motor and a 62t
with scored cylinders. But came with some useful motor parts just have to find someone to take the hull away. I may be interested in your cylinders and pistons for the right price. But im guessing youll get more for it together. I know they dont bring much.
