The property belongs to a fellow Xer's parents. We left it out there, but I don't know how much exposure the live stock will have to it. Maybe he'll chime in.

The pile of spent casings are a testament to the fact that we had to pick up as much of our trash etc as we could before leaving.

true..but most of that is steel case like the nagant rounds in the pix

in which case those would be spent steel shell casings

not brass :Banane36:

There's plenty of African and South American .308 out there that's brass and Berdan primed. I would see buckets full of it at the range. I couldn't see the primer holes until they went through the tumbler for a few hours. Only then could I throw them out. :soapbox:

Additionally, a lot of guys shoot milsurp brass (not steel) through milsurp rifles with fluted chambers which is hell on brass.
And even when it is Boxer primed, I'd say 99.5% of all military brass has crimped primer pockets which are an absolute pain in the ass to ream out.

The engine and pump from this Raider are going into my square nose, all hardware, steering, and other misc. stuff was removed from inside the hull. Its not a big deal for us to leave the hull down there. All of the cattle stays up where there is water and where they get fed. Plus cows have several stomachs to digest everything, I mean I have seen them eat paint off a car hahaha
