What to do with this ride plate?

I have this plate on my RN and was wondering what if anything I should do with it. Its a skegged Ocean Pro, I was thinking of D cutting it at its extended length or cutting it flush with the hull then D cutting. Or just get a stock ride plate.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I would get a a stocker and dcut it and keep that one around for racing or whatever. I actually like those ride plates pretty well, they're better than a lot of other 'race' plates I've ridden.

A skegged plate is pretty opposite what a "D" cut plate is all about. Kind of counter productive. Save it for racing.

skegged plates are actually illegal for racing as far as the rules go!!!!!

I still wouldn't try to cut the skegs off. That would be a pain and you stil wouldn't have a flat, "D" cuttable plate that's supposed to flick loose in for tricks.

I think this is the right idea. You'd probably get more for that plate selling it then you would have to pay for a stocker. sounds like a win win to me.

i had one of these years ago, it railed like a mofo. fun, but a totally different riding style. today i ride a stock plate.
someday i would like to go retro and get one of those again.

It is fun at times, it stays hooked in hard turns and you can real push it. But your right when you go to far there's not much you can do.
