what to look for in used sj

anybody got any advice on what to look for when buying used?
i am looking at a 93 superjet, seller says compression is 148 each cylinder.
he is asking $1000. is this about right for good condition?

seller says mostly stock, and bottom has some scratches. I haven't looked at it yet though. just trying to get infor on what i should look out for or problem areas.
