SX/SXi/SXi Pro What to resurface with?

So my 750's hull is beat, bad. I need to redo the entire bottom of the hull and Im not sure if it would be better to just pour on resin or use a resin based fiberglass filler such as kitty hair or fibril. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Im in the same boat. Dont do cabosil filler. Its very hard to sand. I was thinking maybe glass bubbles, or microballoons. Im interested what the glass gurus will say. Type of product to use and technique

Same here. I have a few areas where the gel coat is just kinda missing and its bare fiberglass, but no fiber glass damage. I was planning on sanding it down and redoing the gel coat in the effected areas.

Gel coat? Whats that?? Lol. Thats long gone from the bottom of my sqaure I ride. Ive just come to accept that real riding will destroy your ski, esp the looks. I have no idea how some of these guys on here have skis for 5 years and how pretty they look. Ive only had my freestyle ski a lil over a year and a half, and its pretty damn thrashed, and I take better care of my stuff than anyone I ride with.

That being said, when I do fix up a ski, I like to do it all, and right, so Id like to be able to fill in the nicks in the bottom of the hull the right way.

epoxy resin with US phenolic microbaloons composites filler, it will need to be roughed up with at least 80 grit paper before you put anything on it, personally I would go 40 grit, coat the whole thing, you can mix it a little soupy and apply it with a paintbrush if you like.

I agree with WFO. rough the entire bottom with 40 grit then use carbosil/epoxy for filling the large chunks/gashes, then sand the carbosil smooth and coat the entire bottom with microballons/epoxy. You can add color pigments to the epoxy/microballons if you like and the trick will be getting the right portions of epoxy and micro ballons, you want it thick enough that it wont run, but thin enough that it will still settle to a smooth finish

Creative RE Purchasing
I choose $50 in materials over $400 for a satisfactory hull any day!

$400???? Are you kidding me? Please let me know where I can sell $400 750 hulls because I'll be a rich man. I can't even give those things away. I've chopped up more of them than I can count. The paperwork on those is worth more than the hull.

And if you use quality epoxy its gonna cost you more than $50.

Woah no need to get angry. The key word is satisfactory before hull, but you are correct, a normal condition hull nobody wants. I said $50 because i already have resin...
