What type of RN pole do I have?

I've read there are two different versions of the RN handlepole. How to tell the difference? I've searched the X with no luck on this.

I need a chinpad for an RN pole, but there are two different Yama part numbers...

The chin pad is the same, just pick your color based on year.

I dont know the details but the 2008 and newer I think have i different cable mounting position?

Measure length. Longer is older RN, shorter by 2" is newer RN

Besides he wants to know how to tell the difference between poles.....what other info did you need to answer his question?

These could be AC Poles or there was another alumn pole that looked like the AC

Pole or chinpad? Cheapest oem chinpad I could find was ~$125 from babbits. I thought the different oem RN poles might have different oem chinpads, based on the different part numbers. Apparently that’s not the case - just differences in color.

I have an oem 2014 SJ pole and an oem RN pole of unknown vintage. I’ll measure both and see what I’ve got...

OEM chin pads break pretty easily...not worth buying really. Clean used/new take offs should be around!
