I just picked up a Slippery Shogun but haven't tried it yet.

As far as ya'll suggesting that he goes to the local surf shop. You realize he lives in Kansas right? LOL...

I agree with these guys, a good rash guard should protect you from the sun, and gloves.
Let us know what you end up getting!

I think for the average recreational rider playing around in a lake, Slippery is just fine. I wear my 3/2 in 40 degree water with a hood and booties and it's all good. Maybe I am just used to the cold. They do have some size issues year to year though.

Once you have tried a GOOD surfing suit, you can never go back to the lowend stuff. I'm getting a new Ripcurl Fbomb this season. My Xcel I bought 5 years ago also held up very well, but wetsuit tech has come so far since then. New suits are just stupid flexible and warm.

I experienced an extremely strange reaction to the sun while here in Florida on my right arm a few years ago; odd it was, for I have always tanned easily and deeply. It was more intense than regular sun poisoning, and the specialist mummified my arm over antibiotic cream to include oral steroids. I went to San Diego like that, and it became worse, so I saw a specialist there as well, who had never seen anything like it. New meds and some worthy advice were to wean myself into the sun from now on, just a bit at a time at the beginning of each season, and it has worked well. I have not had issues since, so you may wish to try that as well in addition to the recommendations, especially since you can only cover your face so much while out in it.

ya im probably going to have to keep my face cover with a helmet from now on which sucks, but at the same time inspires me to get better and show that its not goin to stop me from what i love doing most.

lmao. well i ended up getting a spring suit being that cold water isnt that bad for me and i can deal with it and now what i got left is a rashgaurd to get for my self then i should be good. i nkow it was cheap but at the same time i am more worried about the sun than warmth i can deal with the cold. Let me know what you think.
