Always wanted one. I grew up watching the races on ESPN late 90s. I remember taping them on vhs bc I found an old tape labeled jetski surfing recently when upgrading to hd tv at my parents. I have tapes of People like Rick Roy and Joe kenney going off in between the races. Tried to buy an old kawi x2 off an older kid at the lakehouse but didn't have enough money. Bought a turbo hobie cat sailboat instead. Great financial decision in retrospect.

Fast forward to 2007. Recovering from cancer "driving around" with a buddy we pass one on the side of the road. I tell him about the old vhs tapes of surf races etc....he turns around and I end up buying a modded 650sx for 600$.

Hit my first Freeride that summer at claybanks, met Kevin bruins, dj korn, and so many good peeps I knew I was hooked.

Moved on to sn, blaster, rn, fx1, now fixy rn, and carbon sf.

Freeride for life!

I was in to old school big block jet boats and was surfing CL for parts or boats all the time. My family was kind of stick in the mud about going out in the boat, and I wanted to get on the water more. Found my SN on CL for $700, never having tried to ride. Instant addiction.

I wanted a stand up since I was a kid, mostly because I never saw anyone around here with them. Picked up a js650 a few years back to learn on. Picked up a js550 basket case shortly after, then a X2, and most recently a snsj. Mine are the only stand ups on the lake where I ride, most folks that see mine are surprised they still exist. I enjoy being the odd ball on the lake.

Love every thing with a engine big in to skidooing. About 2 years ago I got it in my head I needed a stand up. After riding couches all my life I finally bought a Rok-R and still wating on 4 feet of ice to get of the lake up hear and it will be my first time on one. And am I pumped!!!!!!!

when i was a child, they aired some of the races on espn...watching Victor Sheldon, Jeff Jacobs, Chris Fischetti and all of the others, wanted one immediately...my dad bought my brothers and i a kawasaki 300...sunk that then it was stolen...so he went and bought a 550 (blew that motor up after 3 rides) then bought another 550 (found out it was stolen so had to give it back) then another 550 with a 750 conversion (guy didnt do something right and it left me stranded and had to swim it in...bolts were missing haha) and then i had a motorcycle and my mom convinced me to get rid of it and they bought me a superjet instead....now waiting and going to place my order for a titan hopefully soon...yeah buddy

Grew up ridin dirt bikes.. then had to get out of it. I turned 18 and wanted another bike, But my dad said no as long as i live in his house...due to injuries. My uncle convinced him to buy me my first 650sx.. My dad said hed pay for it as long as i stayed away from bikes. Now im 21 and addicted hard and havn't even thought about bikes. So basically my uncle got me into it. :) Best "sport"/Hobby EVER... I tell my dad all the time that it was the best 900 bucks hed ever spent.

Lurked like mad on PWC Today, talked with Highroller Stein and he was the first one who said "don't waste your time with a Kawi, get a Superjet". Was doing a bottle and can drive in my neighborhood and found a purple and white Squarenose rotting in someone's front yard. Didn't have all the cash for it, dad helped me out and I made it my school senior project to fix up. Easily one of the best things I've done in my life.

Oh and I watched video after video on Youtube. Slymo on the blue and gold superjet with Tom Sawyer as the soundtrack was my go-to vid.

Who wants to crash Superjett's servers?:p I've been tripping down memory lane with these two.

Well, I've always been into motorized stuff so motorsports were a given. Had ATV's, snowmobiles, but everything was kept stock. On labor day weekend, our whole family heads up north for a get together tradition and my uncle usually brings his two sit downs, otherwise we would rent two sitdowns. So jet skis were familiar to me and I definitely loved the water. After looking around for a long time,Summer of 2012, our family finally found a nice cottage directly in between two lakes. Cottage on one side with an 80 acre lake, and then cross the street and walk down a steep hill and you've got a 1000+ acre lake right there in front of you! I always wanted a jet ski, and one day in the summer I walked down the steps to see a polaris couch! I was super super happy. I rode that thing like crazy for well over a month, and I loved it..at least for a while. Then I started to get bored. That thing stayed hooked up like crazy and was extremely stable. It was only good for going WOT. Besides being boring, that thing went through 15 gallons way too fast. Super expensive. But then on this small 80 acre lake, I saw this one guy come cruising by on some stand up machine that I'd never seen before. A stand up jet ski? Yeah. I'd never seen one before, and I thought maybe that's better on gas and looks more fun! Except this guy only would just ride around on plane, nothing special. That night, I decided to lookup youtube videos about stand up jet skis. From the moment on, I knew I was hooked. I knew I had to get one of these things! I started looking on craigslist, looking for something cheap, but then I remembered a neighbor across the street had something under a cover in his yard. It was a standup jetski that he really didn't get to use much, so I walked over and asked him about it. He said he'd think about selling it, and he showed it to me and my dad. It was a yamaha superjet, and I had no knowledge about that thing! It had an aftermarket exhaust, and we were worried that it would be too loud so we were kinda dissapointed about that. He said he didn't have the OEM exhaust anymore either..
So we talk to him later on, and he said "Yeah I'd be interested in selling it. You can take it out for a ride, i just got it running and I trust you guys." I'm like sweet! Then he goes "I know what these things go for, and I know you'll have a fun time with it. So that being said, 300$ for the whole thing including the trailer"
Then I heard my dad say that we won't be dropping it back off, and we'll take it for that. Besides the skin loss on the side of my calves from the stock turf, that was one of the most fun times I ever had! I loved it! I was permanently hooked, and was actually able to buy the ski with my own money :)
Then I started having some electrical issues and questions, and I found pwctoday and started posting there. Thats when I figured out that my ski was a
1995 yamaha superjet 701 with a b pipe, ocean pro nozzle, extended ride plate, and a UMI steering system with 4 degree bars. All for 300$..
Then I found the x, which led to the modding bug and an empty wallet. :)

My bro had a ski and rode when I was a kid. Once he upgraded skis I got his old 650 SN when I was like 13 I think. It was a good way to get to hang with my bro.

Fast forward 14yrs later and jet skis are my life. I will ride till my body won't let me anymore. Me and my bro still get to ride together=)

In 1990 my uncle bought a brand new 650sx. I was 10yrs old but I knew right then I HAD to have a jetski. Few weeks after I got my drivers license, I put a hitch on my car and bought a $400 X2 that was listed in the newspaper classified section. I was pretty hardcore into it, but the bendix died and as a poor teenager I could not afford to fix it. Then in 2005 I discovered surfriding and the addiction level went off the chart.

My cousins had couple 440s in late 80s early 90. They were a blast. Always wanted an x2. Then my other cousin got a sn in 94. I was hooked on a superjet. Then the rn came out. Got one haven't looked back.
