For all you that say it's worth more in parts post a breakdown. We know what RTR skis sell for, prove parts cost more than 5k for a limited setup
For a limited set up that is a reasonable dollar amount Dag.
Most everything l build has a number of oem parts,but then you you start to buy Solas pumps,a/m handle poles,gas tanks (either custom or a/m) and a number of other items that "won't work" with some custom skis.l understand a Rickter can be built with everything transferring over from a rn.But for the most part who builds a stock Rickter.
So now your list starts to get close to $10,000 in parts.Figure in an engine from xs,php,dasa,tpe,etc.Now you really are getting into some $$$.Wait you need some a/m carbs to go with that 865-1200cc super sized engine.$1500 for some 49 full spec carbs.lf you go to a more expensive pump set up,how much will you spend $1500-2500?
And then you have some incedental's like a mid shaft spacer,custom batt box's that there was no provision for.Not saying a problem,just things come up like that.And you were not aware or planning on needing one.l bought a rn sj tank and internal fill recently for a build.Came to find out it won't work in the hull.No worries,but now have to have a custom made tank.Yes,l could put a old oem or cart tank in it.
The sky's the limit,but the whole point of this thread was to see some views on selling a complete package to go in a empty shell (a/m hull).And yes,for those who brought up parting out was a much better way to sell,I think that's apparent.
