What's my ski worth?

My ski is taking a long time to sell even after a few big price reductions. Bought it for $17,500k if memory serves correct. Selling it now for $15k & throwing in stand, hitch carrier, cover, and a few small extras. Barely used the ski (it's winterized still from last year). Moved away from lake & need to sell ski ASAP. It's in great condition. Sitting in an air controlled garage on a trickle charger. What does everyone think it's worth?

The market has cooled off quite a bit. I know it's not what you are going to want to hear but 10-12k probably. Used freestyle skis are also a extremely unique matket

You're a little upside down in this one, but not too bad.
(Hopefully you were able to get it upside down a few times before moving.)

If I can sell something for half of what I paid for it that's not too terrible.
I know half sounds bad but if you spent all your money on toys and were able to sell them for half later on, it would effectively be the same as if you had saved 50% of your income right from the start.
I think of all the stuff my wife likes to spend money on - swanky vacations, weekly hair / nail / eyelash appts, fancy dinners, concerts, ect... that money aint coming back.

The problem is the hull. Most AM hulls lose major value not long after their invention. Usually because they are found to be junk and or don't perform. The brawler was a flash in the pan hull along with havoc bob highroller Chan phantom striker Joe's bam wdk pirahana tigercraft and more. Seems like rickter superfreak and Xscream are about the only ones that have good used resale value. All your parts are worth more in a more desireable hull. Everybody usually loses their ass on high dollar skis. Most get parted out and you might get more for yours in parts than as a whole.

Part it out, then put a 144 oem pump and stock 701 in the hull and sell it for 5-6k.

Time is money and that could take 2 years to sell the parts. The hassle of dealing with low ballers and window watchers. I'd take a 3-4k hit on price to not have to deal with parting something out.

Ya I am not parting it out. I probably rode the ski maybe a dozen times, so hate to take such a large hit on it. Just walked it down another $1,000. Reduced listing for $14k now.

if you don’t need hard cash, you can usually create more value in a trade.

I’ve traded Harley’s for double their value.

People get horny, if you don’t need the cash try to trade.
