Whats next for SXR

I just bought an 09 sxr and im looking to get another to replace my sxi in the next year or so. Kawi has been making the SXR since 02 my question is whats next 850cc, a DI motor or 4 stroke and what improvements you like to see for the next kawi standup.

every time i have to lift my ski or my buddies i can easily notice the difference in wieght. my buddies stock RN SJ is SOOOO much lighter then my kawi. I'd like to see a stock kawi hull that is as light as a SJ hull. a lighter hull still packing an 800 might be a nice little setup. IMO

I have the lighter hull from Trinity Composites, (Just the ES version) and let me tell you, not only is it a blast to ride, but is MUCH MUCH faster, bottom to top.

It is also much easier to pull off of the beach!

I took a look at that trinity at wave rave...is it an exact replica of an sxr hull? I felt like the tray was so big that I could probably take a bath in it if I needed to.

Yep...except it is 2 inches shorter in the back on the bottom. The tray is identical.

I think it is 75 to 80 pounds lighter...a little lighter than a stock Superjet.

He makes 3 different versions...ES, XF and PRO....mine is the ES...so you can get it much lighter for more cash. www.trinitycomposites.com

If all SXRs were this light, I doubt anybody would even look at a SJ anymore.

i know, i know. I have no room to bash a sxr, I've never even ridden one. I just know I like my sj. I'm pretty convinced I would like an sxr in certain conditions.

What's next?

Don't expect any help from the Kawasaki factory. Just be happy they bother to build them anymore.

DI? Not anymore. Due to current "environmental" laws, the OE's have pretty much given up on two strokes.

My vote for what's next is simple:

This will do it for another 5 years easy.

I would settle for the X2 being sold in the US. They could easily get the ski to weigh at least fifty pounds less so it would be at least on par with the SJ. Until the environmental freaks completely get the two strokes shut down, heck keep the same powerplant and lighten this pig up.

You might hate the SXR, but I think you would dig a lightweight version. Its a whole different ski.
