WHATS THE BENEFITS TO DUAL PULSE FITTINGS? BUILT 750 BIG PIN ENGINE

Be careful with that timing advance. I know from personal experience that it will burn up an engine.

Early 750 motors used the timing advance and so did the 2003 sxr. Later model small pin and to my knowledge all big pin motors have the timing advance built in.

I do not know the specifics. I'm just saying to find out before you toast an engine. I didn't know. Sucked for me.
ok, so if i got a timing advance plate on something that already has advanced timing it would mean a loss of performance, i did not realize some engines already came with the ignition advanced. i think my stator came off of a 93. bought it used, had been running the advanced ignition plate before i bought it. and the engine i got it from had no problems..... but maybe that engine didnt come stock with the timing already advanced. if it hits too early, ill know when im riding. like i said, ill test all the theories and possible issues when im out on the water late april..

And you're telling your teacher he doesn't know anything?
how is that guy my teacher? i dont have a teacher. i havent heard anybody else say if it would have zero pulse with two lines to one pump. that doesnt make any sense that it would have zero pulse. UNLESS one pulse fitting pulls air back in when the piston is on the down cycle in that cylinder, and the other piston is on the rise cylcle and pushes air out, one would push air out at the exact same time one pulls air in, then i would realize why it has zero pulse as a result. i got what ur saying now...

Exactly, I was checking to see if he understood that or not.
yeh i got what ur saying... and about my other thread on 2 stroke vs 4 stroke, i never told my teacher he doesnt know anything, and he doesnt teach small engines or auto he teaches design, sO i wouldnt expect him to be an expert on this stuff anyway. hes an expert in technical design idk of anything else. but the way he was talking he just didnt seem too educated as a powersports mechanic. i never claimed to be an expert just for the record though.

No, actually over advanced timing would make performance better. No, you wouldn't notice it while riding unless you have amazing hearing.

Over advanced timing will cause detonation. It's like running a motor lean or the compression too high. It will run awesome, just not very long.

I don't know about the electronics on the 93. You may be okay. I was just saying to check because people will sell you the kit and not mention it. I bought mind new and the vendor said nothing.

Lastly, one pulse per pump. Nothing there to discuss. Pulse just makes the fuel pump work. The jets do the rest.

Do not take your ignition timing for granted, mark the flywheel and make sure it is no more than 17 degrees at high rpm. Over the years cdi boxes had different timing curves. Do not use the cdi box marked 3728 or 3729. The 3738 box will give best response safest full throttle use.
