Is that a miss print? I thought those were only good for about 28mpg on the highway with no load???

If thats correct, that will likely be my next vehicle.

If not i will be going with a manual civiz for sure!

The 2008 got ruined when they redesigned it and they only get 28 but the original xB gets me 40 MPG on HWY.

My 07 4x4 4 cyl Taco gets 23mpg with an sj on the bed and an xl800 behind it. It actualy gets better milage with the sj in the bed. My old civic hatch would get over 30 no matter what and about 38 on long trips without a trailer. I towed an 800lb uhaul fully loaded with crap and had the car filled with stuff and it still got 30 something. It was geared super tall, 40 in first 72 in second and 110 in 3rd.

I don't understand how some of you can afford gas guzzlers and still be able to ride.

depends on how much you drive!

up until 2 mo's ago I was logging 104-106 miles per DAY to and from work only...not including anywhere else I drove

at that time had a suby that got 26-32 depending on the fun factor...

I recently transferred closer to home...now only drive maybe 30 miles per WEEK for work..

subtract a few miles out of that for days when I ride the bike and all of a sudden gas is really a non-issue

sold the suby and bought an 08 Tacoma 4.0 4x4 and get a solid 20 if babied...

if you romp on it youre dropping to 17-18...which still isnt all that horrible when you figure how freaking BIG the truck is

Great looking ride. The wife wants to bling out her Element to make it stand out from the other toasters around.

My Yukon got 13-15mpg with or without a trailer, before its hissy fit and quit running. I just got done putting a hitch on the wifes Honda Element. Will see how it does tomorrow during the shake down run with a trailer in tow.

that is GAY...

however, one thing I have learned about 2007+ MY's (I think) is that the mileage ratinigs are now for 70mph whereas pre-2007 were rated at 55mph

dude i always drive 55-60 in the slow lane. saves gas, safer and it really doesn't take that much longer unless you're driving super long distance. bout 4 months ago i completely stopped talking on my phone in the car too. I don't care what ANYbody says people should not talk on the phone while driving, bluetooth or not.
