Super Jet What's this grey ish clearish box under the driveshaft?

On my 97 sj under the driveshaft coupling theres a grey/clear box that has a line running back to the tray area through the wall. I've never had a ski with that what is it?

Thats the water syphon or stock bilge, whatever you want ot call it. Don't remove it

It's a water siphon. It connect to a fitting on the pump that creates a vacuum when water flows through the reduction nozzle thus sucking out any standing water in the hull. It will draw water out as long as the engine is running, so i like to keep mine.

I was going to remove it and put the blowsion dual bilge bracket on it. Is that a bad idea? It doesn't appear to work real well at this point unless its just passive and doesn't work well in general

Now I have 2 500gph rule pumps between the fuel tank and engine but that doesn't seem to be the best place for them

In the rear under the coupler cover is the best spot

I'm using the dual mount from blowsion, very easy to install, it holds 2 500gpb pumps and the stock water siphon.

Thankfully the epoxy had not set up and cured completely, got the bilge mostly clean as well as the epoxy off the blue bilge pump holders.
