Could just be the typical cracking that's the Achilles heal of these cylinders. It's on the intake side (typical), but seems to be a located a little higher than the norm (the cracks I've seen typically appear lower on the cylinder).
Perhaps somebody who has many of these cylinders pass their way can comment? I believe these can be welded to create a crude repair. Looks awful but works!
Looks like a frost crack to me. It's just the water jacket so it should be safe to run if it's not leaking and also fairly safe to weld up as it won't see too much pressure.
I'm just gonna leave it. The ski has super low hours, 165 psi on my gauge in each hole. I thought the corrosion had made it split or something. If it lasts till I need a top end that would be good. That will be 10 years at my rate, lol.
Yea the ski was totally un touched, just poor maintenance, such as rinsing engine and flushing.
