View attachment 372735View attachment 372736brought out little 16' toyhauler out to the sailing club I am a member of around lunch. Ran home. Kissed the wife and daughter. Grabbed the skis and headed out here. Not a soul here. Got a cleanup work day tomorrow then gonna throw the skis in for a bit afterwards. Knocking away a few beers just chilling by the fire pit. Sometimes being alone is just the answer. Because this week sucked donkey balls.

I could have used some of that same therapy!

Moved some trees that floated in from last months floods, burned some piles from the last work party and came home to find out we have had a leak from guessing our tub. There was a stool in the corner that was a catch all, could not really see below it. Other pic is from closet behind the door that never gets closed. Yay, fun me.

Well, destroyed the tub deck trying to remove the skirt to see if the tub was leaking . It's not. It's the shower that we just redid about 9 years ago. Guessing its leaking g st the curb. And of course, the tile is discontinued.....

I took a couple weeks off work for some much needed R&R.

Day 1 was spent shopping for new tile to replace the backsplash in the kitchen and redo the fireplace surround.

Day 2 is looking at 15 yards of sifted topsoil in the middle of the driveway. You know, just to kill time until the tile arrives.

Ended up being the Shower Head Connector pipe that goes from the head to the joint in the wall was leaking............ No tile replacement, but the tub deck is shot.

You got alot of bare spots?

They laid the sod on a layer of sand and clay that has absolutely no nutritional value plus there are ruts and holes everywhere. Not to mention that the bank to the pond is uneven, poorly sloped and full of holes as well.

We did a 1” layer over the entire yard and will finish reshaping the back hill tomorrow once we see how much material we have left.

If I had to guess, we are 3/4 done and have only used 7 out of the 15 yards we ordered.

You’ll use it all. Run the sprinklers or get a good rain and you can do it a second time. It will settle right out. It’s like mixing concrete with bags. Always takes double what you expect

The developers come in and strip the land of topsoil and then the homeowners have to buy the topsoil back from the topsoil company that striped the land in the first place . New home owner top soil scam 101 at it's finest !!

We ended up going back over our lawn a little heavier but still had 4 yards left over so we applied a top dressing to our neighbors yard just to use up what we had left.

He was always supposed to buy up what was left but he got called out of town on work so he wasn’t around to place it himself.
