I was eyeing up these around Black Friday but didn't pull the trigger.

If you do it again buy the Sony with the android OS. As of now no other Smart TV comes close
Might have to already had to exchange this one out for another, we watched tv for about 3 hrs, then all of a sudden bunch of white noise then screen went black, unplugged it power wouldnt even come back to it

Recently i've been partaking in what I call 'urban wheeling' where i'll go and drive around on grades, dirt piles, etc. Anything that a half ton Chevy would probably struggle with. I always do it with my kids in the car.

A few months back they built a Sprouts on the road to my Son's day care. In the process of building it, they made this rather large 'pile' of dirt. It's more of a groomed pile. Probably 20-25' tall, 400' long, 80' wide. I'm guessing. The ends are very tapered, you could get up it with an Accord. But you could get into a lot of trouble if you go up or down the sides in the wrong spot, in almost any vehicle.

Anyhow, i've been eyeballing this damn pile for literally months. I've been nervous about driving on it, I guess because it's on private property. But yesterday I finally said screw it. I knew we were supposed to get a lot of bad weather last night and today, so it was 'now or never.'

I don't know who got more out of this little side trip, me or them. Once I was up there I thought "why did it take so long to do this? What were you afraid of ya big dummy!" It was a reminder that I need to experience more, step outside my comfort zone, loosen up.

Regardless of what it did for me, this is what I want my kids to remember. To explore. To take chances (carefully). Who knows if they'll remember being on that hill yesterday, or standing on the roof of my truck in 25mph winds, babbling about how "high up" we were. But i'm gonna keep making memories, and we'll see what sticks.

Was hoping to make it to the rodeo here in Houston, but this rain storm is really starting to put a damper on the plans

I can GUARANTEE they will remember it. I used to bring my kids with me on dump runs when I would get rid of our trash at the transfer station. Half way down the dirt road to the dump was an offshoot that was a really steep drop off that ended in a gravel area but also continued into the woods thru some overgrown trails. Back when I had my previous beater, an old 1987 Ram 1500 we would get cranking down that road and then veer off down the 'cliff'. The kids would scream with delight and eventually (we did this quite a bit) they would throw their hands up in the air like we were on a roller coaster.

Anyhow, my kids are 25 and 21 now and my daughter, the 21 yr old, just reminded me of how we used to do that and how she misses it. Well.....I now have another old beater that I am putting out to pasture, so once my new truck arrives, we just might give it another go. :)
