Can't believe you're going to suffice with wire mesh. That's unlike you to not make it the best you can. Don't forget some expansion between your slab and house.

It's just a simple pad to sit a barbecue and our trash bins on so mesh should be adequate. I am by no means an expert though.
I have had the expansion strips stored for over a year and for some reason we decided to dig out the old ones in our driveway and sidewalk and replace them...yesterday. I had to run to Lowes this morning and grab some fresh ones.

Went to the sports med dr and said I need a mri to confirm. He said it could be a tib/fib compression fracture, acl tear, lcl tear. Could be one of them, or all three. But it's so swollen and the pain he couldn't do all the knee tests. Best case scenario is a tib/fib fracture. Bad way to end a sweet ass vacation.

I tore my mcl last season while jet skiing. Wishing you a speedy and full recovery.
