Super Jet Where can I find these bullet connectors?!

Location

I'm looking to buy a bunch of bullet connectors similar (or the same) to what is used in the 701 ebox. I have searched this and some people have mentioned JSS and a couple other dealers. However, I've got an order to place with Mcmaster Carr and would like to add these on if possible. Does anyone know if there is a specific part number for these on mcmaster? If not, best place to get a bag full?

Thanks!

Why ? Tin/aluminum/lead corodes and erodes faster from salt water than brass/copper...

I have a couple hundred of their brass connectors here if you want to find out for yourself. I bought from them when I first started building harnesses and learned the hard way. The brass corrodes up in a very short time in saltwater due to their piss poor insulator seals. All I use or stock now are the top quality Jap connectors.

I suppose you could use the brass terminals with a better sealing insulator boot but they are normally sold together anyways. I have plenty of both in stock if you are interested.

What kind do you have that don't need a matching male and female end that will work with kawi OEM?

I am a electrician by trade you have factory color primary wire for kawisakis I wanted some of that also so I can mod a 800sxr cdi. And fix some stuff if I need to.

Tin resists corrosion better than copper that is why marine grade wire and terminals are tinned. Oem yami teminals are all tinned.

"Copper in use, especially in a wet environment, forms a black oxide that corrupts connections, and can't be broken down with either heat or non-acid soldering fluxes. Tin plating also forms an oxide, but not as bad, not as fast, and it can be broken down with heat and soldering flux."

http://www.cycleterminal.com/bullet-terminals.html They do have tinned brass, but I cant find a single connector that is tinned brass, only double female

I used OCD solutions' bullet connectors on two 550's I installed bilges on that are 100% salt water useage, they work great. and will probably buy more when I do my SN. They are very nice, I do reccommend getting the correct crimping tool though. I was looking for a way to purchase alot of these at one time and still can not find a supplier.

You can also get stock Yamaha style connectors like a start stop switch uses from these guys.

Thanks jetmaniac

coming from the electrical trade I know copper breaks down less from a metalurgical stand point than the other metals in that enviorment. But I didn't think about the layer of crap that will form inhibiting conductivity. I wonder if its still antibacterial like when it forms naturally.
