Just for your info, it is not just displacement that separates the 650 from the 701. The cylinder ports and cylinder porting are so totally different, the two motors are night and day. A fully ported race gas 650 still wont have the bottom-end power as a bone stock 62t 61x 701.

Yeah. What all do you have to change when upgrading to a 701 motor? is it as simple as plug and play?

I didnt know the difference between a sq and a rn when I first started riding. I became a member on here before I got my first ski. The members on this site help me out all the time. My computer basically stays on the X. You wont have to worry about anything, when you decide to switch. For ever problem you face, Im sure someone on here can help. Good luck and have fun with your 650
