thats the outside of the hood, you can see the hood seal behind the switch, the inner hood (liner) sits on the seal

I run mine similiar to this but on an sj with A/M hold. so it sits a little more left in between the latch and gunnel, with the non-stock hood it has elongated breathers and you can easily reach up into them to the edge outside the seal and flick it with a little finger action. No need to take the hood off and stealth so nobody turns it on accidently.
Tray mounted anything seem to get kicked and broken by me, beit plunger primers or bilge knobs.

Thats right.. I did the hood mod and that cut part plus other two holes I driled let in air for the motor ..the air holes on top r blocked off so theres not that much water comes in ..but I have two 500s and a scupper so I really dont use my bilges unless I do fountains or realy hard subs

i attached mine to the fuel filter, just flip on and off with by cracking the hood open.
