Custom/Hybrid Where to buy a VIN plate

I just got a title for my WDK ROK and now I need a VIN plate. I have herd of people using dog tags so I tried Petco and they did not have anything that would work. Where are you all getting this done?

Gave my kid a piece of aluminum and he stamped it in his metal shop. Now, if he could just stamp out a new motor for dad...

I have a A-Z 0-9 Lawson stamp set, cut a small peace of aluminum strap, stamped it, then riveted it to the ski.

I haven't done this but you could buy a stamp set off amazon. There's one for $14 that says it stamps steel. I feel like it might break on steel but could probably do soft aluminum no problem. It's small though 1/8"

i ordered 2 from them last night, waiting to see what they look like when i get them. i have stamp sets but stamping stainless neatly and evenly is a pain.

Make sure you use the "dog bone" shape from the dog tag machine....so its extra legit.

duct tape and a pen . when was the last time any one had their ski checked by a law enforcement officer for a vin number? if you have registration numbers and a tax tag on it they will run the reg numbers and not bother checking your hull for a vin. I guess it would help if it was stolen but then again if a ski is stolen the first thing they would do is remove your plate.

I would etch it in a place where no one could see it with out me telling them where it was solves all the issues above.
