Surfriding Where to ride surf in panama city?

Ill be going down to Panama City, fl August 12-16 and I was wondering if I can ride surf anywhere close to there? If there is, my ski is coming along with me.

It's been a while since I have been down there, but you could either launch at st andrews state park which you have to pay to get into the park. or, we used to drive down jan cooley drive, which dead ends into the bay and you can park and launch in the sand. don't know if you can still do that, but it was a great launch. then you can go out through the pass, which at times can be fun on the left side. then next is where the swells break on the sand bars on either side outside the pass. the sand moves all the time so you just have to check out if there is a break. then you can take a left down the beach of shell island and if you get away from everyone, you can ride right along the shore.
