I want to say we used an OEM FZR nozzle, which is aluminum? They were definitely strong, but too heavy for our liking. We sell the plastic OEM turn nozzles if you happen to want another, just send me a PM.

Is a longer nozzle better for BF? I have the same trim on my BOB with a stock nozzle. Is there and A.M. nozzle that preforms better?

The stock Yamaha FZR steering nozzle is plastic and the Yamaha FX140 is aluminum version with the four fins inside part number 60E-51313-00-00 but the exit is very large at almost 95mm in diameter. It's best to keep the steering nozzle exit diameter around 2.5mm plus or minus 0.5mm over your reduction nozzle exit diameter because anything smaller will make the steering hard to turn and too large will make the steering real sloppy. The extended steering nozzles can improve the thrust deflection slightly but they can also make the trim lever harder to operate. If you have an A/M aluminum steering nozzle that's too heavy and would like to have the diameter inside or outside or the length machined down just send me a PM for a price quote.
