Which Footholds???

Ok I want to put foothold on my 2000 Superjet. The "catch" is the footholds have to be from a company offering pre-cut hydro turf. So far ive only found Blowsion and Wamiltons. So with this which footholds should i get? Im 5'7" size 9 foot and wear slippery boots. Ive never riden a ski with foothold so please give me any feedback. Im not worried about installing just trying to decide which holds. Thanks for the help and yes ive tried searching this.

Not by me...im at the end of the road here...ive emailed both companys and searched for hours reading page after page. Im ready to install these but I want to install the right ones.

Why a pre cut turf kit? You get a much better looking turf job when you do it your self. Gotta be someone close to you that can turf.

I have Blowsion Kickers on one of my SJ's & not very happy with them, WCF makes a nice hold, I like Superfreaks Holds the best.

send a email to Tem, ask him about the holds I'm running.

Why pre cut turf? Scared to do about 5min of extra work? Heck, I'd install them for you if you don't know how. Any foothold will work, as long as you position them where they are comfortable. A pre cut kit won't give you placement options, so you could end up wasting all that extra money. I only buy sheets of turf, and cut my own. I keep a pattern or two around for SJ turf.

Well i guess i figured it was easier to do precut...figured it was pretty fool proof and had professional looking results. Im sure its easy, never done it tho. If the pre-cut mat wont come out looking awesome im not going to do it, plus i dont want the advertising they put in the turf... I guess this opens new doors for me as far as which foothold to use...

i have rickter foot holds in my SJ, i love them. enough room to add padding to your foot size. as far as hydro turf goes, just do it your self. it's not hard at all. on a scale of one to ten, foot holds would be about an 8 , and hydro turf is like a 3 .

got my rickters from wamiltons and you can get sheets of hydroturf from hydroturf directly for 44 bucks a sheet. B stock. use weldwood contact cement.

Is xr-tech in Waterford?? Id rather buy stuff locally if you can get it.

I would suggest the REV holds from Waterdawg. They have the most ankle relief so that your feet can face forward instead of pointed out. Plus they don't take up any tray room so it makes the tray feel bigger. I have some pictures on here somewhere. They are made bigger so that you can run 1 inch of padding under them and still have a good fit. I have them and wear a size 9 and I installed them in a buddys ski and he wears a size 13.5. Same holds just mine has more padding on top of the foot for a more comfy feel.

And about the precut turf. It is just cut for you. You still have to take your time and heat it and streach it to get it just right to make it perfect and seamless.

I have had both REV holds and WCF holds. I enjoyed both, the WCF were an easier install with less control benefit. The REV holds required much more work to install correctly although made the tray much larger and granted better control in my opinion........ I don't run holds in my ski now, i am over them
