Which one is better

I'm partial to the blue one. A 650 that runs is faster than a 701 that's always broken ;) the whole white ski seems like it hasn't been taken care of at all.
Are 650's more reliable and is the 1,600 a good price ? And he just told me there a crack that dosnt leak under the front bumper where the top and bottom deck were fused. Is that trustworthy?

If I were to Play devils advocate though I would say that a low priced dirty ski with the right engine has made tons of guys on here a bunch of money once they cleaned them up and resold them.

Decisions decisions.

It's not the external part you worry about. It's the quality of the engine internals you should be skeptical about.

A test ride would be nice. Also check compression in each cylinder to make sure they are equal. If both of those things showed positive results I would consider the white one.

If you were comparing equal quality motors, The 701 is far superior to the 650

For your first ski just choose whichever one is going to be headache free. You will probably be able to sell either of those for what you pay next year when you decide to upgrade to a round nose ;)

Buy a compression tester... Pull spark plug out, screw tester in. Hold throttle wide open and hold start and stop button at the same time until the gauge stops increasing. Repeat for other cylinder.
