3/6? Not a pitch
the Solas looks like it is an "I" series, that one should work, you need the lowest pitch you can get if your motor is all stock, go to IMPROS and research your prop pitch by MFG, look to see where yours fall.

Your Solas I prop will be the best for that boat, between the I and J, probly the best props for those boats still today, a hooker 9/15 would be better but not worth the extra money to upgrade from the I prop on a stock boat

a J is way too steep. I had one. Going from a I to a Hooker, the Hooker is the way to go, going from a Concorde or Skat Freeride Swirl to a Hooker, Not enough change to justify the difference.

Solas S (14/17) is a better choice for a stock 650. I (14.5/18) is the next pitch up in the series.

thanks tom, does this remain true after one upgrades from the stock exhaust to an aftermarket? I'd hate to properly prop only to repitch upon a simple upgrade.

The 9-17 has the lowest load of your three impellers. If it is in good shape leave it in the pump. The "older" 13-16 is close to the "newer" 9-17. Your Solas "I" has a lot more load and needs to be flattened out for any decent response. I had to take some load out of an "S" (14-17) in order to turn 7000 on a 701.
