300/440/550 Who can tell me what carb kit I need? JS 550

I am helping my brother to get his ski running properly. He has had it for years and it runs like crap. I figured a carb rebuild wouldn't hurt as a starting point. I am assuming the carburetor is the 36mm Keihin CDK II. I just wanted to be sure before telling him what to order. It is a 1991 550, the one with the pink/ blue graphics on a white hull.

It more then likely has the 44bn round body carb. Here is a link just make sure your carbs matchs the one in the pic.

Yes, the 91 550SX(first year reed induction 550) came with a Mikuni 44 SBN carb.
I have those rebuild kits available.

The 91 550 with reed motor DID NOT come with a Mikuni carb. It had a 42mm Keihin carb. I know this thread is a little old, but just wanted to throw that out before the wrong part might get ordered.

Sorry, wrong again. The reed motors actually came with a 38mm Keihin. However, a 42mm Keihin carb will fit on the manifold and is actually a good upgrade over the stock 38mm.
