Are there any better deals then the multistar lipo packs at hobby king? I wouldn't mind getting a couple of the 22.2v 20Ah packs for my gokart.

I haven't bought any for a few years, I'd have to refresh my knowledge of HobbyKings inventory. I had some Zippy Packs that were awesome in my first SCT.

Stray voltage vs constant path. Are you afraid of using a trolling motor?

no, I'm not afraid of sitting in a dry boat with an upright 12v battery connected to a trolled motor.

However, I would be concerned about holding onto a sinking or submerged aluminum boat or handle bar of boat with a 72v trolling motor, extremely so it salt water.

I think I've derailed quincs thread way too much already. Just be safe dude.

Hopefully the breaker will trip before anyone gets shocked. :)

Seal off the breather tubes, hood vents etc. Rubber bushing around the throttle and steering cable. Add a schrader valve so I can verify it is sealed.

Can you seal the boat completely with a plexiglass inspection window and have an external charging port. If you don't need to get into the boat, and can charge it while still sealed, you can reay get crazy with silicone. Sealed batteries don't off gas do they?

Quite a while back I heard about the attempts to develop a super capacitor battery. The capacitors can be charged almost instantly with very little hydro requirement, the batteries are extremely light having no lead cores or fluid and can contain ridiculous amounts of voltage. The problem they are facing at the moment is regulating the discharge rate since a capacitor only acts as a buffer for very short term voltage storage. Once the connection is made, all voltage is gone. It's the same principal as our CDI's or the old school points and condensers system. When/if they figure out how to control the discharge rate, that would open a whole new way of doing things. Here is a neat write up about them...
