In this case the hull would have to be 100% sealed. But yeah 72v would not feel nice.
@Vumad you do know electricity takes the path of least resistance right?
I have to break in 4 550 RC motors this week.
What are you thinking for batteries? $4k in LiPo RC battery packs?
Stray voltage vs constant path. Are you afraid of using a trolling motor?Im not sure i got your point.
Are there any better deals then the multistar lipo packs at hobby king? I wouldn't mind getting a couple of the 22.2v 20Ah packs for my gokart.

how are you going to seal a hull 100%?
no, I'm not afraid of sitting in a dry boat with an upright 12v battery connected to a trolled motor.
However, I would be concerned about holding onto a sinking or submerged aluminum boat or handle bar of boat with a 72v trolling motor, extremely so it salt water.
I think I've derailed quincs thread way too much already. Just be safe dude.
Seal off the breather tubes, hood vents etc. Rubber bushing around the throttle and steering cable. Add a schrader valve so I can verify it is sealed.
So, any progress?

Ended up building a couple of electric pit bikes instead. Much more fun for ripping around the neighborhood and bike trail.
