My buddy installed two rear boots from slalom water skis in about `92... installed them on his 650SX with drywall screws. First time I did a sub on it I almost killed myself.

sorry i chuckled a bit at this imagining being permantely strapped in a sumerging too far and gasping for air that sh**t would suck.

After subbing for years with no aid (toes pressed to the outside) I pulled up with the same amount of effort and went in pretty much vertical (felt that way). If I had not already learned to duck while subbing I wold have gone over the front for sure. Just freaked me out at the time.

I laugh to this day how good a rider my buddy was on his 650SX, but that did not stop him from driving a TS straight into a seawall.

I remember when growing up in South Florida and we had an area in Dania called Jet Ski Beach on the intercoastel. I wasnt into ski's as I had no money and was impressed seeing the likes of Tim Judge (only remembered him cause I raced BMX with him) and freinds riding out there every weekend. I remember wedges screwed in the sides of their trays. This was in about 87-88. I also remember a girl that rode with them when they would ride out of Haulover (Bakers) inlet to ride surf.

I did that the other day with lifter wedges. Over rotated a sub at like 25MPH and got catapulted over the pole. Glad I didn't break it. Wish I had the gopro running. My Fiance said it was the best trick of the day and asked to see it again.

I still get scared when I dive using my foot holds and I tuck harder then needed and do a accidental suicide dive to face plant lol .
