In our tests the 61X stator output a lower voltage than the 62T. This has a negative effect on spark energy and timing. That said if you check the timing with a light and use the timing offset in the software to compensate you should be able to get it running ok.

it ran ok, but i switched to 62t electronics and it was much better. i am now running msd enhancer.

We have them in 61x setups. They work just fine, but you really need to use a timing light to verify the timing.
You might try programming the enhancers curve into the HX3 if you feel the issues is still present, in my case it helped isolates aggressive curve symptoms from the equation

The performance gain from the hx3 is great, but i was having a spark issue. one ride to the surf and back with no problem, get ready to go for second ride and it would not start (no spark). Get home and it still wouldnt start. Next morning it fires right up, turn off ski, hit start button and no spark. Replace cdi box with stock and fires right up.

They have never had an issue with epics at all. Well not that has been admitted

I have 2 doing the same thing, but I bought them used and I know both got wet while i was running them. Would be nice if there was a fix, they are now paperweights.
