If after market Mikunis 44, and engine size below 780, I have found 2.3 ns, 95g, 110h, 120 pilot to be very good. If oem 44: fill crossover and I think I tried 105h and 115p, then 120, worked sorta, then gave up on those carbs.

Ported 771cc, Boyesen manifold and reeds, bpipe bored to 48mm. They are mikuni 44's (4 ports) not yamaha. Is the low pop off because of the reverse jetting? I started with 19psi and it had horrible throttle response. I am now up to 32psi. Going to try 34/35ish once my 1.8 seats get here.

I run 185 cranking pressure- porting for low end- 93 octane, no racing but hold it wide open long enough to show others how slow they are. Timing on Epic set for 32 deg. Went higher once, but not smart enough to tell difference.

That question can not be answered without many more details.
35 cc domes 180 psi cranking pressure. 48 thou squish clearance. 70% pump gas to 30% race gas mix(race gas is at the station I go to so it's convenient insurance). Hold WOT for no more than 10 seconds. Ported 701 with stock lightened flywheel and b pipe.

Race gas is such a vague term.... 110, 100, 109, oxy or no? Lead or no?

I was talking with someone who is more experienced with programmable ignition about running the HX3 and they said the difference would be negligible vs a Enhancer because I still have the weight of the flywheel. Thus he recommends total loss.

All the reports of issues with ATP products and their lack of support have scared me away from pulling the trigger on any of their product.

I have a hard time believing an enhancer makes this big of a difference. Look at the numbers... Not even 24+ degrees advance on an enhancer and 30+ safely on an epic with pump gas..

I'd love the chance to try one out or ride a ski that has one. But all i've had a chance to ride is either Enhancer or TL...

I hope my epic lasts. I can't wait to try some different curves too. If it doesn't, I'm going to an enhancer with a couple degrees of static advance to hold me over until I can afford total loss. I picked up this epic dirt cheap, otherwise I wouldn't have gone this route.

What makes a big difference is the timing, while the flywheel helps too. 2 stroke pipes only work well in a small rpm band, so getting the engine into that band as quick as possible is what you are after, timing helps this.... a lot.

Epix has great performance even with a modest curve...but I have now been stranded in 5 ft surf and at the lake when I should be turning laps. Such a bummer considering the performance gain.

Hey is clearly not that experienced, Epic smokes an enhancer for power, reliability is questionable on both IMO!
By a zero lightened flywheel, it makes a good difference in the weight

Nowadays I just run enhancers and lightened flywheels
life is so much easier that way. I have not had to many issues with enhancers but I have heard some people do

Something like that. Hey if you can get a programmable ignition for yamahas that works go for it and you will get heaps more
I tried it
vilder tried
factory pipe tried it
atp tried it
advent tried it
all with sketchy results

I tried the 760 front cover with great success as it is a digital system and so you are not trying to go from analogue system to a digital.
I actually used a sxr ignition which I reprogramed for the 760 flywheel and it worked killer.
The only thing is it was total loss as the 760 stock flywheel is so heavy, I pulled all the magnets out of it and just ran it that way.
If I was to run a total loss system again I would do the same and use a zeeltronic system on it easy and reliable, plus the 760 stuff is cheap and reliable.
I used a rad charging flywheel for a 760 to start with but it was on a stroker crank and it did not want to stay on
