Of all the standup / X2 / B1 / etc small skis, who designed the best hood seal? I think the SXR is likely the most effective design.

No first hand experience on how it works but Tigercraft "silicone" seal looks promising.

I guess to clarify, I want to finish my X2 I started many years ago. The plug has just been sitting there waiting on a hood seal. I have the hood hinges I want to use now, so I just have to plan the seal and line everything up. I can go either way, SJ or SXR, but didn't know if there were better options. I'd go for a double seal if I could, but the X2 is already small and the hinge design I am going to use is massive (relatively) so I don't have space to waste.

You know more than me, but our X2 has a very unique hood seal. This is it 39145 and it is unavailable:

I just purchased some TrimLok for a glass window in an UTV. They are very good to work with. Call them:

They may have a profile that will work. Once you get the model number from TrimLok, look on ebay and Amazon for sellers of smaller quantities.

Because of your post, I went outside and got the hood trim seal from under the tarp for our in pieces X2, and threw it in the wash on the gentle cycle (front loader, no agitator) and when it is clean I will wash it down with 303 Aerospace Protectant. But for your thread, I would have never known that the hood trim seal was unavailable. Thank you.
