I don't think the bracket would have an effect on the pole snapping.

well pretty much any pole will snap but jeff was telling me with the design of the xmetal pole the best bet it to get there bracket (i guess the placing of the stops) i dunno, just what i was told. talk to superramjett it happend to him with the xmetal pole a WD bracket he would know

Very interesting.

However, even though the mount is lower, the pole has extensions making it not as low as you think. But the fulcrum point is still very low. This pole mount design requires a matched handpole.

This looks like a one-off design. Care to share more info?

Sure this pole is made in inox RVS. it's about 6,7 years old.
The builder is called Alinox but does not make them anymore ...
It features everything you want... You can adjust the length... Limited rope integrated in the pole... The 2 tubes bring air in your engine as well...

And the best, It's indestructible !! I got 2 of them from Xslide in St Martin. When you see what fab is doing.. that you know that pole is indestructible.
Only bad point is the weight as it is made of Inox... it's pretty heavy.

I'll try a XMetal soon as unfortunately that one does not fit on my fx1. The base bracket is about 4cm bigger than a normal one, and I don't want to modify the hull just for that.

Here are a few pics for you.

The big turn off for me would be the weight.
Good point is after riding you do not have to go to the gym...

Weight is about 10kg all inclusive pole, bracket and pad.
so that's 20 pounds I think... :bigeyes2:

Never weighted the pole only as you have to take it apart... and it's a pain.

With the spring and tight bolts, you do not feel all that weight hopfully...
Best will be to make the same in Strong Aluminium...

I don't think the bracket would have an effect on the pole snapping.

Jeff and Tom already determined that they are not compatable. The XMetal has a stop build on the bracket that lines up with pole to limit the amount of forward movement, the stops on the WDK bracket is different putting a load on the pole where it is not ment to have a load.... you could search on PWCToday about this subject.....
