Why chop rear of superjet?

I just used a crow bar and pried it out. Will power wash for those tighter parts. Now anyone not put foam back in and why?

You want foam for flotation for sure.
Most people use the pink rigid foam sheets at Home Depot cut to fit then for the final shape two part foam. Make sure you use epoxy resin to reglass, don’t use polyester resin.

Also while you have it apart you might want to lay a layer of 12oz glass throughout the bottom for reinforcement. *Assuming you are riding surf.

okay so I will foam the inside. Now for glassing what oz should I use so my floor does not cave in. cause that would suck. Using west systems epoxy resin

Did you not keep the section you cut out? You can either bond in the old section, then foam below it (drill holes) or fill the lower section, sand smooth and then bond the tray back.

I kept the old sections. I had to cut down middle though because the footholds didn’t want to one out in one piece. Worried it will crack where I made my cuts

That’s what my sections look like

Might want to consider making the tray a little wider while your at it. Would only bit a little bit more work. Ski would be a lot nicer to ride too.
