Pole length from one ski to another has no bearing. Aka. 650sx to SJ. look how far back the pole mounts on a 650sx. That is why the SX is not as nimble as a SJ. Leverage point is farther back.

Sure it does. Noses even the sx and sj are the same length, but the steering on the sx is 4" farther forward than the sj. The actual length of the pole isn't what I'm talking about. Rider can get more forward on a stock sx than a stock sj.

i rode my sj for the first time in a couple months (engine blew in the rickter) and man i miss the sj. its set up so well! -6 pole, destroyer sponsons, d cut plate, cf steering w/ riser bars, wet foam, and full length tray foot holds. its so legit in the surf, only wish it had some more rocker (carterb rocker)
