I decided to come back to the X b/c for all the "bad apples" there are pleanty of people on this site that I enjoy talking to and they are not on PWCtoday. Sadly if everyone on the X was on PWCtoday as well I probably would not have come back. I do not like drama at all. I think b/c this community is so small people tend to lose the formality approach and common curtosy associated when conversing with strangers. Allot of guys tend to do their laundry in public so to speek and I personally feel that adds no merrit to the board or the sport as a whole.

The main reason I left was b/c I found myself caught up in the he said/she said aspect of the board and that is totally not what I wanted. I personally do not like looking up a subject, finding it, then sifting through 10 pages of bickering before I find anouther credable post with achual information reguard the subject. However, I am back and am approaching the board in a different impersonal manner. I am not going to respond to personal attacks on myself or WD (who I condier a friend of mine). Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but my main focus now is just providing correct information so people can make their minds up for thenselves and share my experience or thoughs on the skis and riding

Thanks to everyone one for your kind words after I left the X. I was content w/ just walking away completly but that helped me regain my focus and come back on the boards with a different approach. 2007 is going to be an intersting year for the sport. There is obviously more compeition in the business area, new affordable products are comming out from every magnifacture/builder, and riders are continuing to push the envelop and polish their routines. Typhoontommy booked some more PWC freestyle shows and I think he really does a good job for promoting the sport in the publics eyes. :arms: I think the board is a great place for individuals w/ a common interest can share their experience and perspectives, but I would hate to see that overshadowed by blatent disrespect. As a whole this community should draw in individuals, not discurage them before even getting involved. People should feel comfortable with posting questions w/o fear of insult or mud slinging going on. PWCtoday was nice b/c it is such a large community most people post in a formal fashion, you can add your 2 cents and most people do not know you from the next guy so they respond with their opinons/experiences and that is it. For the most part personal stuff is kept in PM's.

I'm in here to help the sport grow, help build hi-output performance motors for anyone, give good tips on the how the to's. I have the skills needed to do this and don't want to waste them doing just regular general jetski repair, let the new blood (young guys out of school) come in and do that stuff. I have been building race and Hi-perf motors my whole life!
I grew up in my dads top fuel engine building machine shop and then started racing 2-strokes way back in the mid seventy's, worked my way to the top as a PWC factory race mechanic with the factory race teams and then saw it all go downhill from the IJSBA losing all the factory support and money (and to pay me) supporting PWC racing. I will step-up this coming year and start sponsoring (I haven't made up my mind what I'll do yet but WILL DO SOMETHING for this event!) freestyle/freeride events with parts and services. I'm going to the Daytona event and will get a chance to meet most of you for the first time!
I'm not the one to waste my time with some of the bull that goes on here so I just stick to what brings me joy and that's hepling others in the motor building area where I know I can help...:smile:

This constant bickering and nitpicking makes the entire group look
like a bunch of unprofessional idiots, especially when you have one aftermarket company questioning another in an open forum as a way to discredit them. That is ridiculous behaviour. Anyone w/ an ounce of respect for buisness would refrain from calling out and competitor like that, no matter what the issue is. The ethical thing to do would do the best work you can do and let that speak for it's self... It really makes me wonder about the maturity levels of some people. These witch hunts and propoganda type assalts on company's needs to stop if we want to move forward as a group of like minded enthusisats who really want to get somewhere in this sport...
