As usual Suzi, your heart is in the right place. But a "self-help" seminar is not required to deal with a-holes.
Also, your experiences surely differ most of the time simply because of your gender. It may not be right, but it's the truth.

my experience probably differs due to disaster relief, so my methods are different than most females, and probably most males at that.

I will always listen to someone rant, in the end he had to feel like a tard when the other jetskier was rippin it up and we were not. Turns out i know the DNR officers in our county on a first name basis and I work extensively for the county sheriff (our company contracts to do all the two-way radio service, laptops, lighting install, gps solutions, etc. ) So i certainly want to remain polite. You never know who you are dealing with, or if he just got laid off and is really stress and came out with a gun in his kayak. people are crazy and jah never know.

It was funny because he shouldn't have been so close to us swimming either. And when he failed to scare us like he wanted he kept repeating my boat numbers like he could vigilanty do something with them. When he paddled over to get them the chick near the ski was like "want me to bring it closer so you can see the numbers better." I like all your stories guys. I am sure i will be back pissing him off. It is the only lake besides lake mich that i go to.

What lake were you at? I spend alot of time on a that has one of those cut off time in MI but no one really seems to agree on the time even when I've looked it up.

Seriously, if you guys were staying away from him he really shouldn't be bothering you.

On most of the lakes around here I believe you are supposed to be off the water 30 minutes before dark. However at one of the private lakes I ride at you are supposed to be off by 8pm.

We had a security guy chase us down(he didn't use his siren so we didn't know he was chasing us) as we were heading back to our dock for the evening. It was 8:05 so yes, we were in the wrong but it was obvious that we were done for the day.

The security guy(not a cop of any type..just employee) came flying in, hits the rock wall and then while trying to get off of it nearly backs into my buddies nice dock. The guy then starts to chew us out saying he had been blowing his siren(which can be heard from miles away, so we know he wasn't) and that we may have even caused him to break it. He then asks us to give him a push from the dock after we told him to either write us a ticket or leave.

My reply " Only if you ask nicely" ....oh it was great. He got so pissed. Apparently he is about to get fired anyways because there have been a ton of complaint on him.

I apparently ruined some guys steak dinner one night at 6pm on a public lake. He was quite adamant about some magical 300ft no wake zone around his dock (which since on a public lake isn't his). Told him to call the cops and ask them what they thought. Later he pulled out his wakeboard boat with tower speakers and blasted some country music at us.. Some people make no sense.

Kayak guy should buy his own lake if he wants some magical time on the water by him self. I would love to go to an amusement park if it was just me in there. Public lake, public for everyone. Or at least recommend he kayaks at 7am when we're hungover.

Now that would be classic.

If he were being a real douche, like it sounds like he was, I'd say, "Deputy Dawg, just call the cops so they can laugh at you." and then just ignore him after that. Well, maybe aim my cell phone camera at him like I was making a video and just snicker a little.

I have run into this same guy while surfing in cali. I have seen him in big sky montana on the slopes. I spent some time with him in cabo while eating some tacos. Douche bags come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, the way you decide to deal with them is your option, but sometimes it feels great to spray them.

Lucky for us (at our local lake) everybody is pretty cool. The whole variety of watersports is there. And for the most part everybody is pretty cool. Although... I asked if we could set up camp by a gal a few weeks ago (there was plenty of room) and she was a total beezie about it. My son came up as we finished our conversation and asked if we were setting up there and I said, "Nah. We don't want to be next to that :):):):) ry singing b!tch." She didn't say anything. Her hubby had a sn too. That never made it to the water... And they left the next morning to top it off. We had a great weekend away from her.
