Super Jet Why is my Built Superjet so slow!!!

That's pretty steep.

That impeller is the problem. A Waveraider 760 is about the only place for a Solas "J". Clamp it in a soft jaw vise and hammer the trailing edge up and the leading edge down until they are 1.3" apart. This should unleash at least 20HP.

Is there a gap between the prop and the ring? Is the gap even all the way around?

Definitely prop down. I have a jetworks big bore set up and I run a solas big hub 12/19. I have good power everywhere. Hooker props work well too, a 9/15 hooker might help.

There was a very small gap, i can see light through it. Ya im thinking about putting in the hooker 9/15, heard good things about it. I'm also going to get a bored reduction nozzle. Just looking at my old one I noticed two fins were cracked off on my stock reduction nozzle.

Just from what I have seen that prop isnt bad for overall performance with your motor. A stock blaster prop is about 14/18 pitch. You have more motor so it should push it fine...

BTW we are running 11/17 hookers in un ported 701's and are getting some real nice snap out of them. Even if a boat is a race ski they need killer bottom for the hole shot off the line... Most guys would prefer better bottom hit if they had to sacrifice some topend for it then vise versa.

But honestly I would suggest calling a builder that been doing this a while and get some good real advice. Having it come from 15 different angles on here isnt gonna do much good to get the right setup for what YOU have.
