Does the general public need any more power than the current 1200's paired with a powerfactor or RRP pipe produces

Not a single thing on this forum has anything to do with necessity.

I've only met pat a few times, but I never needed to meet him to know what kind of guy runs a business like xscream.

Xscream could turn out a 500 hp twin, and the next day, they would start all over shooting for 501hp.

I take my x2 apart within days of putting it back together, and it's rarely because it doesn't work right. I just want to see what I can do next. It's why I had to buy a superjet and promise myself to not keep taking it apart.

Xmetal does work with pipes. I don't know what they have going on, but they were talking about the new manifold they were trying last time I rode with them.

Chambers are not the problem. You can easy make them by welding aluminium or build from carbon. Problem are the manifolds. I habe a company they can cast manifolds for me but i must take 50-100
But in europe is not the market for 100pipes. So i buy every typ8 manifold i csn get and build my carbonchambers for it.

An other problem is no exhaustcalculationsoftware works on a 2stroke 2cylinder with one chamber and EGT of under 300'C :-(

This looks like a good reason for people to get into the pipe business.

"Factory Pipe (707-463-1322, factorypipe.com) employs 43 in the 42,000-square-foot plant it has occupied for 22 years at 150 Parducci Rd. Sales doubled to $9 million in 2011 from 2009 and are projected to do so again in the next two to three years, according to Mr. Liberty, 55. The company was targeting sales of more than $10 million last year.

“Right now, our production capacity is the limit of our sales,” he said. “If we could make more, we could sell more.”"

A very small fraction of that $9 million is aftermarket PWC pipes. Manufacturing OEM parts for Polaris is where they make the bulk of their sales. One more reason why they have the worst customer support I've ever experienced. They don't care about us. They make one of the few yamaha PWC pipes available so they know they'll sell them no matter how the treat us. Add the fact that it's probably the smallest segment of their business and you have a recipe for crap!!!

How do I buy one of those pipes? Those things look sweet.

From my limited perspective, it seems like Xscream does a lot of "turn key" boats. There is just not many riders around here that can afford it all at once.

Why don't you? ;)

If only I had the time and motivation. If I where to do it for a profit I would build/design something and have it done over seas though... Really surprised someone hasn't sent a bpipe over seas to be copied/manufactured..

They cant do it better or cheaper overseas. Just compare hull pricing/fit and finish of a DVX, Trinity, Bullet etc. to the Thai hulls. Your mindset should be to keep production in the borders. We can do it better here and be profitable. Come up with a design that works/is better than current pipes on the market, how you want it made, i.e. stamped-etc, and I'll source production for ya. Did'nt TPE find a company in the US to cast their cylinders and be profitable? Pretty sure you already gave a prime example by posting about FPP.

Nynja pipe is made in china and is a direct copy of bpipe, its a better cast than factory pipe as well, they just killed it with the price point. A manifold can be made in china for far less money and done well,it just might have to be a joint effort to get a investment cast done. The tpe motor was a little diff deal, the mold type already was being used in Atv motors, had to be modified to work on 62t cases, far less expensive to do.
