300/440/550 Why upgrade a 550?

only 30lbs difference over a similar year sn.(which seems to be the difference in some riders).. and once you get a bigger motor that gap closes to even less correct... (I still have one and hate the thing, would trade it for a good superjet pole If I could find a sucker that liked kawis.)

They are cheap, this means if someone wants to see if they like the whole standup thing they can get into it and get out if they dont like it. True, there is no comparison with a sj, but some prefer smaller/lighter skis. Depending on where im riding I like a smaller ski (rivers, creeks). They are also easier to throw around and a whole lot harder to ride. Fat boys hate em. Some say its a waste of money but its all in the eye of the beholder.

We have 3 - 550/650 conversion ski's they don't even compare to a sj or sxr but they are a hoot to ride with a 650 they ripp. We are into them probably oh $1500.00 each and everyone that rides them fall's in love with them. we ride flatwater also.

How would you describe the difference in ride between the Kawi 550/650 conversion and a stock 701 SJ?

I have not ridden a superjet. I have the ultimate ski to ride it's a Ported and piped 750 x-2 lol. seriously I really have not ridden a superjet though. My son is a superjet lover.

as everyone has said a SJ is no comparision. I have alot of fun on my dads 650 conversion ski and mine before if sunk : ( but there light they have good power when set up right. and they are cheap. I could have 1500 bucks in my motor of my Sj so easy its ridiculous. I like 550's but you can't go from 550s to Sj's and back with out a little shakiness. haha they are 2 different animals. I am gettin into Sj's and thats where big freestyle is. But in my opinion a 550-650 conversion is the best of that old school world. They are not a bad boat to learn on too. there small and not too crazy power. give a little kid one and thats one hellava power to weight ratio and just sips the gas. I guess its all in what you want. So be like me have one of everything you possibly can : ) my friends think I have a disease............ I think all of us on here do!!!!!!
