My 2 cents:

We don't moderate sales because we don't set market prices on items.

This site is large for the number of moderators we have, mainly because NOONE wants to be a mod because as Matt_e put it so well, we get accused of everything imaginable any time someone feels wronged or that there is an injustice out there. Adding more work? Not happening.

Every other site I am on has a mod for the sale section. Many have multiple mods. I'm a mod on 2 sites myself. I'm far from talking out my ass. Bet very few on here have actually moderated anything besides their ski. I know its a bit of work. I know it's possible also. You can keep avoiding yhe issue and make this about mods. I have a girlfriend. I'm used to getting nowhere in debates and going in circles.

Blatantly allowing people to profit off of others lack of knowledge or skill is wrong. Doing nothing about it when you find out about it is wrong. If you don't feel the same way then that's ok. Amurica fudge yeh.

Please keep it going about the mods!!!

Also. Sites have been straight up shut down for allowing resale of things that shouldn't. Did our mods know that and don't care also. Feel free to delete this thread. Or keep it going. Whichever the mods prefer?

For the record. This site isn't super easy to view on tapatalk. And my tapatalk just updated and is totally dif again. I'm not making excuse. I could have taken more time and looked my post up and found it. Apologize again

Really, Sparkplug get a life. This is the site, it works well for 99.9% of us. The mods do a great job! If you don't think so then feel free to leave! Oh wait this is modern day America, where if you don't like something or it offends you, you feel the need to remove it from others instead of just ignoring it. Sorry for your political views bro, but that's not how things work over here.

Thanks, @SuperJETT and @Big Kahuna for putting up with this crap.

You have not idea how we run this site. There are 8 Moderators and 3 Admins. Some Mods are mods for specific sections. But all of them report in problems they see. Along with our members. You have a "Report" button at the bottom of each post. Most members know that if they see something they can click it and let us know where a problem is.

So what is the actual issue? You posted a link to a good deal in the wrong section. I moved it to the correct section. (Moderation act #1). Then you posted this thread, again in the wrong section, I moved it to the correct section. (Moderation act #2)........ Yup, there is Zero Moderation going on. What I see is you are all upset that your thread got moved and you did not understand why. Yet you say you are a Mod on 2 sites. Sure does not seam like you know how a site works.

This site does not get involved in the buying and selling of parts. Whether it be used parts from one member to another or new parts from one company to another. We do not charge for the right to place ads. We do not charge Vendors for the right to advertise their parts. If you buy up a huge lot of pistons from somebody and want to sell them for little or nothing. That is your business. If you buy them for $25.00 ea and want to sell them for $65.00 ea, that is your business. That is not our business. If you get screwed by some company or individual. That is your business, not ours. It is up to you to learn who you are dealing with. We have a great section here called "Negative and Possitive Feedback". This will help you to find out if someone is shady or not........

Please see my reply from earlier---we have about 3 moderators. Just like you, we all have lives outside of this website and reading through every for sale thread to verify that the part(s) are being sold for 'fair market value' is not something we have ever done in the past 9 years, nor are going to do, even if we had 100 moderators.

Those things are wrong **in your opinion**, not in the majority of our membership's opinion. Feel free to start your own site and run it the way you want.

Locked.

On Kahuna's 8 moderators comment, they do not have permission to lock/edit/delete threads/posts for the most part, but are part of our discussion group on moderating topics to give a broader base of opinions on how to handle issues.

One other thing that needs to be reiterated since we're on this topic: we have a no post dumping rule which means that members don't go into for sale threads saying how something is overpriced or that it can be found somewhere else cheaper or trying to sell their own part for less than it's being listed for in that thread.

If you have a problem with someone's price, make a lower offer or don't buy it. If it's truly overpriced, then it won't sell.
