Wide Bars 27.5 vs old wides 25.5

Is it worth switching out good old wide bars for the newer 2 inch wider ones?

I like wide bars, are there any disadvantages to them?

What do you guys think?

Somebody has to have an opinion if they think it's worth going wider?

10 years ago when I rode bmx everyone was cutting there bars really short to the point you had to bend out the brake levers cause they were on the curve of the bars. Nowadays everyone's grips are way out past their shoulders the bars are so wide.

I think its the same idea with ski bars..whatever you want to run.
