I have a GP760 here.
Just did the top end on the motor, only things removed were the top end and carbs , and the exhaust, bottom end stayed inside the boat..
Completed it all, reassembled, hooked up battery, fired it up, cranked a few times, then fired right up, then once it stalls out, you go to press the start button again, and NOTHING, no clicks, no sounds, no nothing. Disconnect the battery, reconnect the battery again, and there you go , turns right over again, then fires up again with no problems. This is a reoccurring issue, and happens over and over again.. Pretty crazy. Because when its cranking, it cranks quickly, with no problems what so ever.
I don't think its the ground, because I used a set of jumper cables to figure out if it was the ground, so i ran the jumper cables from the battery(Now sitting on the ground outside the ski) and put the positive jumper to the pos cable where the batt. should be connected, and then took the neg and grounded directly to the head bolt to see if maybe the ground cable was bad, well, same issue..
Seems like a relay is staying engaged and could have a power/ground issue? or...
What do you all think? Pretty odd issue.
